| Anna Paquin, a New Zealand-Canadian actress and film theater actor, is most well-known for her roles in films such as The PianoFly Away from Home as well as X-Men. She began her career in the world of acting at the age of eleven when she appeared in The Piano for which she was awarded the Academy AwardforBest Actress in a supporting role. It was fate that took over. She didn't plan to become an actor, however, it happened. Following the success of Jane Eyre, a variety of different offers were offered to her. She decided to accept them so that she could to concentrate on her studying. After her debut film was a success, at age 14, she was offered roles in Jane Eyre as well as the Fly Away Homefilms series. In 2000, she portrayed the strong mutant Roguein X-Menthe X-Menfilmseries. The role she took was a huge success and she became a global star.
